CATEGORY MANAGER FULL TIME
One of the leading General Retail Department Stores in Malta is looking to recruit a Category Manager to join their team on a full-time basis.
The chosen candidate would ideally have relevant experience in FMCG/retail environment and have excellent negotiating skills, apart from the below:
- Ability to be flexible and work to tight deadlines;
- Confident Excel skills;
- Ability to build relationships both with suppliers and internal teams;
- Good communication skills;
- Time Management.
Job Role:
- To continuously review category performance and the market place;
- Be responsible for developing the buying strategy for product areas and will source and develop product ranges that satisfy client requirements, whilst achieving the company’s financial objectives;
- Drive supplier negotiations to maximize profits on stock items ensuring that all suppliers are meeting requirements on margin, marketing support, and delivery performance;
- Work with the Marketing team to maximize the success of the promotional activity;
- Provide information and analysis to assess levels of slow-moving & non moving stock and work with the team to clear. Maintain stock at agreed levels for planned activity and to reduce overstocks.
This is for immediate employment so the Candidate must be in Malta now.
