Our client is a major multinational in the agribusiness market, a global leader in its segment, and is undergoing continuous growth and expansion in Brazil and Latin America.
Reporting to the business leaders and the Tax Director LatAm, this professional’s main responsibilities will be:
- Responsible for coordinating tax compliance, income tax and transfer pricing as well as income tax accounting in LATAM region, driving tax initiatives and technology, reviewing tax processes, supporting tax audits and businesses in tax matters. This position will collaborate with other tax and finance teams functions;
- Coordination of US GAAP reporting actions - FIN 48 and ASC 740 (e.g., Uncertain Tax Positions, Valuation Analysis, Effective Tax Rate Analysis and Forecast, Return to Provision, SOX, etc);
- Manage tax compliance and reporting requirements for LATAM region, including the review of Tax Returns & RTPs, tax payments, deferred tax and tax forecast; ensure tax obligations;
- Coordinate tax compliance outsourced to external service providers as well as tax analysis in support of statutory audit;
- Coordinate tax accounting and report for the region (quarterly and year-end closing), including uncertain tax positions;
- Tax technology implementation;
- Work with tax and other finance teams (e.g., treasury, credit, business development, FP&A etc.) to identify tax opportunities to maximize efficiency and mitigate risks;
- Coordinate and support to the tax team in the region;
- Support ERPs implementation.
Requirements:
- Completed Degree (Accounting, Law, Economy and/or Administration);
- Experience in tax and regional position for income tax accounting and transfer pricing;
- Integration, Code of Conduct & Ethics;
- Knowledge in income tax, income tax accounting and transfer pricing (required);
- Knowledge in accounting (required);
- Experience in big four (preferred);
- English fluent and Spanish intermediate (required);
- Visio Program knowledge (preferred);
- Power BI toll (preferred);
- Good oral and writing communication (required);
- Professional and positive attitude, sense of ownership, focus on quality and continuous improvement, respect for diversity, integrity, commitment to safety, teamwork, problem-solving skills, and strong time management.
An excellent opportunity for professionals with a strong academic background and previous experience in Direct Taxes, Tax Accounting and TP at large companies, with experience at American companies being mandatory.
