Our client is a leading global food ingredients company, part of a major English multinational, operating in multiple countries with offices and factories in São Paulo and a nationwide salesforce.

This position is responsible for providing comprehensive legal support for commercial operations in Brazil, covering contracts, labor, corporate, litigation, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance matters. The professional will ensure business decisions are legally sound and aligned with local laws.

The main responsibilities of this professional will be:

• Provide legal support for commercial operations in Brazil, including contract drafting and negotiation (e.g., supply, distribution, service, and licensing agreements), labor, litigation, corporate, IP, and regulatory compliance.
• Advise business units on all legal matters and ensure compliance with local laws and regulations.
• Manage relationships with external counsel.
• Advise business stakeholders on litigation risks, assess potential litigation exposure and costs, and provide mitigation actions.
• Conduct training and education for internal stakeholders on legal and compliance matters.
• Monitor and respond to legal developments and regulatory changes in Brazil.
